Purpose: The Legislator tab is relevant only for individuals who are current or past legislators in the state Senate, state House, or Federal Congress, or serve in some other political office, such as Governor or Attorney General. The screen is broken into two sections as follows.
Launch Point: This tab can be launched from:

Legislator Information
This section displays information about the legislator. The fields in this section are controlled by the in-place buttons in the lower left of the window.
To edit click the in-place Edit button. This will enable the fields in this section. Make changes as needed and click the in-place Save button.
Type: The type of political office this person holds. The list in this field is user-defined.
Status: Denotes if this person is currently serving. The valid values are “In Office” and “Archived”.
District: The district that this person represents.
Last Year in Office: This field is not editable. When the status is set to “Archived” the system will set the last year to the current lobbying year.
Party: The political party that this person is associated with. The list in this field is user-defined.
Position: The position, if any, this person holds within his/her office. The list in this field is user-defined.
Aide: The name of this person’s aide.
Secretary: The name of this person’s secretary.
Web Address: The web address for this legislator, if applicable. When an address is listed clicking the link icon to the right of the field will launch the website in your web browser.

Email: Email address for the legislator.
In-Session: Mail preference when in-session.
Out-of-Session: Mail preference when out-of-session.
Government Address and Numbers: The address, phone, and fax of the governmental office for this legislator. Note: if you subscribe to the Aristotle update, the room information is included in the Addr 1 field.
District Address and Numbers: The address, phone, and fax of the district office for this legislator.
Contacts
If you subscribe to the Aristotle package then if the person is assigned an Aristotle ID it will be shown above the contacts grid on the right of the window.
This grid displays contacts for this legislator. You can add/edit/delete contacts for this legislator by using the in-place buttons above the Contacts grid on the left of the window.
When editing or deleting a contact you must first highlight the contact record to work with in the Contacts grid.
To add a new legislator contact record, click on the in-place Add button.
This will open a Select a Contact for this Legislator search window. Locate the contact record and click OK.
