To Summarize: a new tab in Firms, Names, and Events

Names, Firms and Events File Maintenance each have a new tab: the Summary tab. The Summary tab allows you to quickly see key information for the person, firm, or event without having to switch tabs or view different areas of the screen.

Summary tabs contain several collapsible widgets that display snapshots of specific types of data. The Summary tab in Names File Maintenance, for example, currently contains nine widgets, including data regarding contact information, account balances, committees and more.

The Summary tabs provide quick and easy access to data you need to provide the excellent customer service your members expect.

More information

Choose your tab

AM.NET now has a user preference that allows you to specify the tab AM.NET initially displays when you open the file maintenance module for names, firms, and events: the Summary or the Name tab.

To set the user preference for default tab

  • Select File > User Preferences. The User Preferences window appears.
  • In the Default File Maintenance tabs group box, select the default tab for each module.
  • Click OK or Apply.

New dashboards

Release 31 contains two additions to AM.NET’s newest data analysis tool: dashboards. The Event Financial and Event Registrations dashboards allow you to view CPE data in new and powerful ways.

The Event Financial dashboard allows you to view several facets of financial data grouped by year. Continued ...

Group registrations

AM.NET now allows you to register groups of people for an event. The initial release of this feature allows registrations with no fees—such as for in-house events—but later releases will include bulk registrations with fees.

To register a group of people for an event

  • Find the event in Events File Maintenance.
  • Select Routines > Group Registration (No Fees). The Group Registrations window appears.
  • OR
  • Right-click the grid on the Registrations tab and select Group Registration (No Fees) from the context menu. The Group Registrations window appears.
  • Click Add and select Add Firm Employees or Add Person to select the registrations you want to add to the group.
  • Select a registration source and marketing source.
  • Click OK. AM.NET adds the registrations.

CDS worked in tandem with the Key Users Task Force in order to create the Group Registrations routine, a partnership that helps us focus on and deliver the exact features our customers need to provide excellent service for their members.

PayFlo Link credit card processing

AM.NET now supports credit card processing using PayPal PayFlow Link. This option integrates credit card processing into AM.NET but does not capture and store credit card information on your society's local computers or network. Users enter credit card information directly in a web page hosted by PayPal when using PayFlow Link. To see examples of PayFlow Link entry screens, see Getting Started in AM.NET Help.

AM.NET currently supports the following credit card processing products and services:

  • PayPal PayFlowPro
  • PayPal PayFlowLink
  • Chase/Orbital Paymenttech

Of course, CDS can always integrate other products and services. Just tell us what you need.

For more information or to turn on this feature, contact Phil Sayers.

Individual Dossier

AM.NET has a brand new report: Individual Dossier. Individual Dossier contains key information about a person, including contact information, a record of committee service, a summary of CPE activity and more. To run the Individual Dossier select Names > Reports > Other > Individual Dossier.

A note on custom reports and programs

Custom reports are an important part of the Association Manager system. We know each society is different; what works for one may not work for another. With this in mind, CDS works hard to provide modifications to programs and reports so each society can fully utilize Association Manager to meet the needs of its staff and, more importantly, its members. Release 31 contains many custom reports CDS migrated from AM4 to AM.NET and we will work hard on migrating each custom report your society relies on in AM4.

Help!

AM.NET Help now has help available for:

  • Committees reports
  • Utilities reports
  • Peer review reports
  • Accounts payable reports
  • Lobbying reports
  • Products reports

If you need help, select Help > AM.NET and AM.NET redirects you to the AM.NET Help Web site where you will find help for AM.NET modules, routines, and reports.

Other stuff

There are several other enhancements in release 31.

  • Support for SMTP Basic Authentication. AM.NET now has support for SMTP Basic Authentication for mail servers. This is for societies that use a remote email server and do not have one on site. Contact CDS for more information.
  • AM.NET now contains a system parameter to exclude the past due message that appears in Names File Maintenance if a person has a dues status of Payment Plan. Contact CDS if you would like the parameter changed to suppress messages if a person has a dues status of Payment Plan
  • Print firm labels from the Exhibitor tab. This feature is now available in AM.NET.
  • AM.NET now allows you to perform many of the same tasks on the Event File Maintenance Registrations tab that you can on the Name File Maintenance Event tab. Previously, users could only perform tasks like Cancel Registration, Event Payment, and Fee Adjustment from the Event tab of Names File Maintenance.
  • The Money on Account Balance Write Off routine is now available in AM.NET in Utilities > Routines > General Ledger Journal Entries.
  • The Firms Peer Review tab now allows you to link an employee to the peer review record.
  • The General Ledger Account Listing report now allows you to include only accounts with file maintenance on or after a specific date.
  • Based on feedback from the Key Users Group the Events Attended - Last 12 Months widget on the Names Summary tab is now Events Attended. The list includes not only events from the last 12 months, but the five most recent events attended.
