Cash Receipts Batch Entry
An important AM4 routine is now available in AM.NET: Cash Receipts Batch Entry. Like AM4, AM.NET has a simple, clean interface that allows you to quickly and efficiently enter checks and cash. However, you will notice several changes.

The first difference is the routine’s location. AM4 enumerates Cash Receipts as a three-step process in Options > Utilities > Cash Receipts. Since AM.NET organizes reports and routines separately, you can now find Cash Receipts Batch Entry by expanding the Utilities group on the Main Button Bar, clicking the Routines button, and selecting Cash Receipts > Cash Receipts Batch Entry when the Utilities Routines window appears.

The AM.NET Enter Batch Data window looks very similar to the AM4 Enter Batch Data window, with one important difference: AM.NET replaces the Batch Number numeric field with a drop-down field that gives you more information about the batch.

You no longer need to remember the number of a previous batch to open it. Simply select the batch from the drop-down field. All entries in the drop-down field begin with Start or Edit, clearly defining whether you are starting a new batch or editing an existing batch.

Once you select an existing or new batch and click Open Batch (or OK in AM4), the Cash Receipts Batch Entry window appears. Let’s now look at the differences between AM4 and AM.NET in this window.

Note that if you select a cash receipts entry in the grid, AM.NET disables the radio button since you must delete an item and re-enter it in order to change the check information.

Finally, let's look at the entire Cash Receipts Batch Entry screen.
