AM.NET Release 6
Release 6 of AM.NET is now available. Events, Committees, and Products file maintenance modules are complete, and there are several reports available. For a complete list of features available in AM.NET Release 6, click here.

AM.NET Release 7
Release 7 of AM.NET will be available soon and will include several reports, as well as the ability to cancel event registrations, enter credit card payments, perform fee adjustments, and transfer credit balances.

Put it in context
Release 7 includes several routines for manipulating event data: Cancel Registration, Event Payment (credit card), Fees Adjustment, Session Registration, and routines related to transferring a credit balance. In AM4, you had to select these items from the Routines menu, and then select the relevant event.

AM.NET allows you to select these routines directly from the Registrations grid in the Event tab of Names File Maintenance. This eliminates the extra step of selecting the item from the Routines menu, and then selecting the specific event. Simply select the event registration record in the grid, and right click to see the options.

To view the context menu

  • Select the registration you want to modify or enter a credit card payment for.

  • Right click OR press the menu key. The context menu appears with relevant options.

Reports in AM.NET – No Options, more options
In AM.NET, users no longer have to select Options and the relevant module to find a report. You can now access reports directly from the button bar group on the left.

For example, to select an events report, click Reports in the Events group.

When the Events Reports window appears, select the category and then view the related reports.

To run a report, double-click the item or click the report icon .

Report reruns
In AM4, if you want to rerun a report with different configurations options, you must go into Options, reselect the report, and reconfigure the settings. However, AM.NET’s unique two-panel report configuration window allows you to rerun a report as many times as you want without closing the window. Simply reset the configuration option you want to change and click Run.

Welcome new CDS staff
CDS would like to introduce two new developers: Dib Oglesby and Phil Sayers. Their expertise in .NET and SQL will bring you the features you’ve come to rely on in AM4 to AM.NET even sooner.

AM4: Course Sale events

A sometimes-overlooked feature in AM4 is the ability to create a course sale event. This allows for the tracking and recording of In-Firm courses or events where your state is the vendor for a course offered by another organization.

The course sale setting allows for tracking event information and the sale of course sale products set up specifically for this purpose. Typically these products include instructor honorariums, instructor expenses, and per-manual fees related to the event.

With a course sale event you can:

  • Link a customer (person or firm) to the event
  • Invoice products related to the event
  • Link the event to the event author
  • See all related products sold for the event in the Sales History grid
  • Job cost the event and track other information in the event master file

If you need to track credits, you can even register people with a zero fee for the event, although this may require a minor modification for your state.

Also, course sale reports are custom for each society. So if you are interested in creating course sale invoices, leader confirmations, or other reports, please contact us.
